At Altura Engineering & Design, we feel an obligation to promote the profession of engineering and build a local workforce.
Youth in Engineering
In order to introduce students to careers in engineering, we regularly attend middle school and high school career fairs. Also, we volunteer time to help with STEM programs. These include MATHCOUNTS, TAME, Kids College, and Los Barrios de Amarillo Step Up To Success. Further, we donate to Los Barrios de Amarillo, the NAACP, and West Texas A&M University to provide engineering student scholarships.
At Altura, we provide internships to high school and college students. This is in order to teach skills that will prepare them for future careers. Consequently, we have had interns work with us through high school and college that now work with us full-time.
Support Staffing
Because we have decades of experience in the Energy, Oil & Gas, and Petroleum industries, we understand the challenges of hiring talented Engineers and Designers. As well as the difficulty of finding a good career as a talented Engineer or Designer. That’s why we also serve as a staffing solution to help our clients find excellent Engineers and Designers. Moreover, we manage their payroll, insurance, and training, to make sure they can focus on doing their best work for our clients. We understand that our clients and our employees are most successful when we do our due diligence in making sure they are a perfect fit for the job. Overall, this is done by thorough interviews, background checks, and verification of their work history.
