David Salas, P.E.

David Salas is the Managing Partner for Altura Engineering & Design. He has many years of experience managing projects for refiners and oil & gas companies. He understands the full lifecycle of process equipment and incorporates that insight into designs.

Prior to joining the company, David worked for BP, ConocoPhillips, and the Bureau of Land Management in a variety of engineering, operations, project management, and supervisory roles. He is specialized in the design and inspection of piping systems, pipelines, and pressure vessels. David received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Texas.

Jacob Moreno

Jacob Moreno is a Partner of Altura Engineering & Design. He has many years or experience in design and construction. He managed the design group for Altura for nine years. He now is focused on business development.
Before assuming his current position, Jacob worked for The City of Amarillo as an Engineering Technician doing street and drainage design. He then worked for Phillip 66/ConocoPhillips doing piping, civil, and structural design. From there he worked for Mason Dairy LLC designing dairy farms and managing the construction of these facilities in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. While here, he also managed the commercial concrete division. After this, he worked at Valero Mckee in Sunray TX as a contractor for seven years.
Jacob currently resides in Amarillo TX and is married with four daughters. His hobbies include working out, restoring classic cars, and spending time with friends and family.
