At Altura Engineering & Design, we feel an obligation to promote the profession of engineering and build a local workforce.
In order to introduce students to careers in engineering, we regularly attend middle school and high school career fairs. We also volunteer time to help with STEM programs like MATHCOUNTS, TAME, Kids College, and Los Barrios de Amarillo Step Up To Success. We donate to Los Barrios de Amarillo, the NAACP, and West Texas A&M University to provide engineering student scholarships.
We then provide internships to high school and college students to teach skills that will prepare them for future careers. We have had interns work with us through high school and college and now work with us as full-time employees.
Because we have decades of experience in the Energy, Oil & Gas, and Petroleum industries, we understand the challenges of hiring talented Engineers and Designers, as well as the difficulty of finding a good career as a talented Engineer or Designer.
